Tricks for improving your Netscape experience. Only certain to work on the 4.7X releases. (You really should use Mozilla after that anyway.)
Portable between Windows, Linux, and most other supported Netscape platforms. Simply add the following lines to your prefs.js (Windows), or preferences.js (Unix). Make sure Netscape is closed before you make these changes, or Netscape may clobber them.
Change Netscape Messanger's default message:
user_pref("mailnews.start_page.url", "http://www.google.com");
Hide the Shopping button.
user_pref("browser.chrome.disableMyShopping", true);
Hide the Radio menu item.
user_pref("browser.chrome.disableNetscapeRadio", true);
Add these lines to your .Xdefaults on a Unix box.
Disable Shopping button.

Hide Netscape button.
*toolBar*destinations.isEnabled: False
Hide Print button

Hide Search button

Change location label (set to nothing to hide label)
